CUSTOM COVERS FOR FILLET KING
When we first tested our product in the marketplace we
found that the guys wanted to buy the board not only
themselves but also for their friends. They suggested the
covers be made with slogans appropriate for a "guy to guy" gift.
These are the original slogans and they worked great for that purpose.
All accept the "Good Luck Today" with the Irish shamrock were
consistent good sellers ( so we trashed that one!)
The others were hits and we keep them in the line.
The use of the bag for transporting the modular boards,
storing fillet knives and sharpening stones, plus the protection it provided from ultraviolet light
dulling the product look provided additional value to our customers. The material is 200 Denier Nylon,
urethane coated for water resistance, and has a non-fray drawstring.
As a side note: When I had our first order of bags manufactured I took one and used it to store some
lines on the deck of my sailboat. For five years it was exposed year round on the deck in direct sunlight.
The color faded to a blue jean color in three years and this fall it finally disintegrated and I replaced it
with another. Now I think you can call that five dollars well spent.
At shows we package the board with a bag and usually another item like a fillet knife or carving deck
as a "show special". Each year we feature the special in our web store so look for it on the order page.
As it turned out the idea of a custom bag fit our non-profit and promotional and guides programs
like a glove. We have done custom bags for Marine Stores, Resorts, Events, Industry, Guides,
Manufactures, and Non-Profit Organizations and find this has become an important element of growing
the business. It also fitted our purpose in packaging our Modular Concept with Twin, Family, and
Fowl and Small Game packages
We manufacture them as blanks and then have them silk screened locally as needed to fill orders.
This allows our customers the choice of us doing the silk screening for them or for them to use their
local silk screener. Additionally our corporate color of the Royal Blue allows us to pass on quantity
discounts to our customers who choose that color for their order. Nice deal for our customers!
Minimum orders for customized bags (your logo) are 25 units for non-profit and commerical accounts
and one time artwork charges apply
